Cape May County Local Fund

01.27.2016 by Elizabeth_N //

It breaks my heart that we have to start a fund for our headquarter neighborhood.  But, Yes, there is unfortunately a need.  We are a 501c3 and I(Elizabeth) can send letters to those that want to be in the “ACTive ReACTors Hall of Fame” and need a tax letter of credit.  Please, just email me requesting a letter.  ActivationReACT@gmail.com

We are a community that is not scared to stand together, hold a broom, mop, hammer, load dry wall, and heat cold house that house kids that our children are friends with or may not even know.

To stay updated please visit.  Activation ReACT’s Facebook page.  If you wish to donate to the local operational fund for Cape May County you can make a donation below.

You may donate to either fund at your discretion. Either way, we are forever thankful for your willingness to care for others in this country we all call home.

We just need to reACT together with the talents and resources we have. Together we can help those that have been knocked over from the storm stand back up.  We just need to reACT together!  (I have most of these items for her but they are in New Jersey with me, (Elizabeth) and I am having trouble getting them to her.  Activation ReACT needs a bigger trailer!)

South Carolina: reACTion #1 and THANK YOU

10.05.2015 by Elizabeth_N //

Update: Get the most current info on our Instagram account

http://www.instagram.com/ActivationReACT

It is where I post my notes (straight from my notebook) and needs first!  Please follow!

Update:  We arrived and the trailer that two weeks to fill was unloaded in 15 minutes.  Thank you to all those that helped unload the trailer.  You all were amazing.

Here is a flipgram video of ReACTion #1

(Or you can see it on our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/ActivationReACT !  Don’t forget to like us! 😉)
We thank everyone that was/is still involved in this project.

We have now moved onto reACTion #2

Update: It took us 15 hours with the van pulling the trailer to get to the Activation ReACT SOUTH CAROLINA head quarters.

Update: Wow the last time I updated was 7 days pretrip.  Things got a little busy there towards the end.  Let me just fill you in with pictures.

At one point the trailor got so full that we needed light.  Belleplaine Rescue ended up providing light to keep us packing.

A lot of people came to help.  They used their talents.

We made a second trip around in the van!  We collected things piece by piece, paper towel roll by roll!

Water bottle by water bottle!

But in the end WE PACKED THAT TRAILER!  All of Cape May County did! You guys are awesome!!!

Update:

The Trailer leaves in exactly 7 days.  Life has been pretty hectic here. I am sure you all can imagine but I am excited to receive so many phone calls, especially from the younger kids.  This is exactly why Activation ReACT was created. #AnyAgeCanReACT 🙂

The Drop off locations will be announced in full tomorrow! (A few has been announced already on Instagram)  I know a lot of you have been asking. (We are working hard on this-Children and Adults of all ages asking businesses and school clubs)  We will be stopping along the way to fill the trailer a little more just north of the destination shelter.  The above list is the final items.  They will not be changed! 🙂 Don’t forget there is still time for orders to be sent via Amazon Prime.  Every pack of batteries or paper towels counts.

Our First Donation arrived at 10am this morning!  The donations have not stopped since but we still need that trailor filled with the items above.  Thanks to the many that have donated so far.  Keep them coming.

Update…..

For those that do not believe in Santa we made a graphic for you too.   Please share and collect items.  Thank You Andrea and Jessica for helping me think about the Festival of Lights and using you campaign knowledge(talents) to meet other demographics! Thank you Amelia for everything you have been doing up to this point.  I know South Carolina is close to your heart and therefor ours too.  Thank you Skip for letting us use your trailer hitch. (How we lost our own is beyond me! We will return it in one piece! You are awesome for sharing)

The Trailer will be leaving soon!
Art work post with permission from @Katie Dugan!  This is a very real painting and expresses how many of us feel.  Thank you Katie for sharing your talents with us.

1st Post………

A drop off center for small boxes! Bank/MomandPopStores that are close to the crowd is still needed.

(this is really needed!)

In addition……
Flash Lights

Tupperware containers to put batteries in to keep dry.

Donate a virtual pack of batteries for $6.00 to keep us running. (Tax deductible)
