Activation ReACT, a national nonprofit focused on disaster relief based in New Jersey, announces its partnership with Diggerland USA. Diggerland USA is a construction themed adventure park where children and their families drive, ride, and operate heavy machinery in a safe family-friendly environment.
Activation ReACT’s President Chair Elizabeth Norton said, “Activation ReACT is thrilled to partner with Diggerland USA. Activation ReACT’s mission is to help all ages be able to reACT and respond to environmental disaster. We believe that a giving heart is taught at a young age and can bring a family together. Diggerland USA is a great, family friendly place to enjoy and learn about the many types of machinery that helps us reACT to environmental aftermath like Hurricane Sandy brought us in 2012.”
According to Emdat, International Disaster Base, in the year 2013 there were over 27 natural disasters in the United States alone. This includes extreme winter conditions, floods, storms, and earthquakes. As unfortunate as this statistic is, some experts considered 2013 to be a mild weather year compared to other years. The devastating statistics had over 200 people dead and the total lives affected were around 214,600.
“At Diggerland USA and Sahara Sam’s, we find it of the highest importance to not only be a part of our community but also to support the surrounding communities and families they are comprised of. Partnering with Activation ReACT enables us to partner with a great organization so they can continue to do their invaluable work in rebuilding towns who are faced with great hardships,” said Ilya Girlya, CEO and Owner of Diggerland USA and Sahara Sam’s.
Diggerland USA opened to the public on June 14th, 2014. Diggerland is the most unique amusement experience in the world. The U.S. location is based in West Berlin, NJ directly behind Sahara Sam’s Oasis Indoor and Outdoor Water Park.
Activation ReACT is on a mission to provide ways for people of all ages to lend a helping hand during environmental disasters within the United States. We assist individuals young and old to be proactive in their own neighborhoods using their own talents as a source of creative fundraising for victims of tornadoes, hurricanes, wildfires, floods, and other natural disasters, rather than feeling helpless and distant in times of need.
Together companies, individuals of all ages and Activation ReACT can help communities come together after natural disaster situations like Hurricane (Super Storm) Sandy.
Activation ReACT and Diggerland USA will hold a short ceremony on August 9 at 9:30 AM at Diggerland USA to officially announce their partnership. Media interested in attending should contact: Elizabeth Norton : info@ElizabethNorton.com
